Air travel

• Geneva Airport is the nearest airport (approx 1hr drive away)
• Lyon Airport is also accessible (approx 2.5hrs), as is Turin Airport (approx. 2.5hrs) and Chambery Airport (1.5hrs)
• London: British Airways (London Heathrow, Gatwick & City), Easyjet (London Gatwick, Luton and Stansted) and swiss (London Heathrow) all offer frequent services through the year.
• Edinburgh & Glasgow: direct service with Easyjet and Globespan Airlines.
• Dublin: direct service with Aer Lingus (flights on Mon/Weds/Fri/Sun only).

Car Hire

• Car hire is the cheapest and easiest way of getting from Geneva airport, it also provides flexibility in skiing options. In addition, the apartment has secure undergound parking.
• Use carrentals.co.uk for the best rates from all the main car rental companies.
• Sixti also offers some of the best low-cost deals (nb. Genf airport = Geneva airport)
• Easyrentacar have competitive rates. However, cars often supplied without fuel & require cleaning charge upon return.
• An alternative is to use the Nova rentacar which accesses most of the large rental companies rates.
  
• Directions: From Geneva, take A40 motorway towards Chamonix. Approx. 5k before Chamonix, take the exit to Les Houches. When you are facing the Bellevue cablecar turn right and Les Chalets de Bellevue is located on the left hand side 50m up the road, next to Cachat Sports.

Bus

• A new door-to-door service linking Geneva airport with Chamonix/Les Houches has just been launched. Prices are very reasonable (from eur20sgl) and are discounted if booked in advance. Alpybus website
• A SAT Mt Blanc bus runs between Geneva airport (International sector) and Les Houches. Departs 11:00, 15:45 & 18:40 daily and returns from Les Houches (Office de Tourisme) departs 07:16, 10:26 and 14:16. Travel time is approx 1hr 30mins. Cost is eur33sgl/53rtn. There is no bus from Lyon airport to Les Houches/Chamonix. SAT Bus website/timetable
  

Train

• The TGV service from Paris is available to Le Fayet/St Gervais (20 mins from Les Houches by local train or taxi). Timetable for TGV Paris-Le Fayet
• Les Houches has a small train station which is served from Le Fayet/St Gervais. Trains run approx every hour. Timetable for local train Le Fayet-Les Houches/Chamonix
• The train from Geneva airport is indirect & infrequent, thus not advised.
